A small catalogue moving into a standard theme with few integrations can be a contained project. Why public price ranges are often misleading

Two migrations with the same number of products can have radically different effort. One catalogue may contain clean SKUs, three options and accessible image URLs. Another may contain duplicated identifiers, bundles, configurable products, regional price books, missing consent records and assets stored behind authentication. Budget scenarios without invented prices

For each scenario, calculate role effort, vendor rates, licences, internal team time, contingency and recurring ownership. Replace assumptions with verified figures during discovery. This creates a defensible budget without presenting someone else’s price as universal.

Costs buyers frequently miss
